Pursuing Success in my Academics

         The Phi Theta Kappa Honor society is a great program that helps students achieve their academic goals by providing opportunities to students. I was much honored when I received the invitation letter in the mail to join the Phi Theta Kappa Academy. This invitation shows that all of the hard and effort I put in all my classes to get high grades had finally paid off.  The main benefit of joining The Phi Theta Kappa is the growth and development aspect of the program. I want to join because, this program provides a student with opportunities to learn and participate in leadership roles, fellowship, and do volunteer work within the Phi Theta Kappa. Also the Phi Theta Kappa offers scholarships to students once they graduate and transition into four year colleges. I myself am planning to attend Binghamton University this year and major in computer science. A scholarship would help me so much to achieve my academic goals down the future. Furthermore, I want to interact with students within the Phi Theta Kappa and speak to them about their careers and how this program helped them in taking the next step in reach their academic goals. I am very humbled for this opportunity to join the Phi Theta Kappa Academy, and I will do everything that I can to contribute to this honor society by volunteering in the program and learning from others.
